Matthew 3-9

In this section, Jesus turns to another very twisted and warped area of scribal interpretation, addressing two laws, of vows and retaliation. Our speech and our actions. And just like the previous two, this one will cut deep to expose our hearts. On the surface, the issues Jesus raises don't seem to address the folks living in 2021. But Jesus' principles are much deeper than they initially seem.

Theme: As kingdom citizens, we make much of Jesus by speaking truthfully and serving sacrificially.
