The churches of Galatia were in great danger of believing that Christ was not enough - that His work on the cross and His resurrection was not sufficient to make one right with God. When Christ alone is not the sole focus, instead of being a grace-saturated community, the church becomes laced with legalism, which always results in competition, strife, discord, and envy (5:26). So, to address this issue in the church, Paul pens 6:1-5, describing the characteristics of a burden-bearing disciple.
