August 20, 2021 - Weekly Update

Praise the Lord, beloved! Many of our friends who were sick over the past couple of weeks have now fully recovered, while others are well on their way to full strength. Mike P, who’s been in the hospital for a couple of weeks with a collapsed lung, was discharged last night and is now home! God was pleased to show us great mercy and kindness! We ought to spend as much effort in thanking Him as much as we spent in pleading with Him.

Please continue to pray for God’s mercy over our state as numerous fires continue to burn and many residents have been displaced from their homes. Also, many pastors and churches in Afghanistan are asking for prayers as their situation deteriorates each day. Let’s remember our brothers and sisters in Christ who suffer for their faith (Heb 13:3).

Sunday Worship | August 22

This Sunday, per usual, we’ll gather with God’s people to worship and adore Jesus! Please come early (9:30 am) to grab coffee and bagel and be ready to worship at 10 am. We’ll be studying Matthew 9:9-13, with the sermon titled, Jesus, Friend of Sinners. Please pray for the clarity and power of preaching so that the hearing of God’s Word would transform our hearts.

We plan to have park fellowship Sunday evening, but with the smoke moving in and out, we’ll make the final call on Sunday.
