Matthew 12 contains some of the most challenging and misunderstood verses in the Bible, specifically 31-32, in which Jesus speaks of the "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit." What happened in this chapter is extremely consequential, so we need to know what that sin is, who can commit it, and how. But the main point of this passage is not about the “unpardonable sin” but about the Kingdom of God and the King, who came as God’s Anointed to overthrow the kingdom of darkness and the works of the enemy.
Big Idea: Christ, the King, confronts you with a choice: receive Him as exclusive good or reject Him as evil.
