Why Do We ... ?

Our strength in prayer arises from our knowledge of God and His purposes as He reveals Himself in the Scriptures. The starting point in prayer is God’s revelation of who He is and what He is doing.

Big Idea: We pray because our gracious Father offers his help and performs gospel works in response to the prayers of his needy children.

1. We pray because our Father graciously offers his mercy and help
2. We pray because we are God's helpless and needy children
3. We pray because God does the works of the gospel in us and through us in response to our requests
