The cross of Jesus Christ is the greatest paradox in Scripture. Because it is so difficult to grasp, it is often described as a stumbling block to the faith of some and foolishness to others. Yet, for others, who behold the cross with the eyes of faith, our encounter with the crucified Jesus is the turning point and the foundation of our faith.
Theme: Jesus’ trial, execution, and burial were paradoxical because His mission was paradoxical - to live for and to die in place of wretched sinners, like you and me!
